Important Notes For The Tribulation Saints Left Behind

on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 by

This letter was taken from the “Spiritual Survival (SSK) For Those Left Behind” flash drive.

As the end times signs continue to rapidly converge, many Christians are eagerly anticipating the coming of their Savior Jesus Christ in the Rapture. If you are unfamiliar with this miraculous event it is explained in 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. These passages state that Jesus Christ will come without warning in a “twinkling of an eye” to whisk all of His true believers up into the clouds to be with Him forever.

According to John 14:1-4, Jesus is presently preparing heavenly mansions for each believer that they will inhabit upon being Raptured. To the unbelievers this sounds like a fairy tale, but to believers it is their blessed hope according to Titus 2:13.

Since the Rapture only removes the true believers, all the unbelievers will get left behind to face the dreaded Seven-Year Tribulation Period, which includes the Seven Seals, Seven Trumpets and Seven Bowls Judgments. During these final seven years, God will pour out His wrath on a Christ-rejecting humanity. It will be the worst time to be alive and believers now, are encouraged to attempt to get their loved ones to become believers in Jesus Christ in order to escape this perilous period.

The good news is that a great multitude of unbelievers who get left behind become believers during the Tribulation Period. The supporting verses for this fact are included in the conclusion section of this article. The bad news is that they will be severely persecuted and likely martyred by the governing authorities reigning over the earth at that time.

The book of Revelation is clear that during the Tribulation Period there will be no shortage in heaven of praise, worship and casting crowns before the throne of God. The Raptured Church, as represented by the twenty-four elders who, according to Revelation 5:8-10 are redeemed from among men, will be singing in concert with the angelic hosts. Revelation 4:9-11 quoted below is one example of this.

Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.””

Words of Wisdom for Believers in the Tribulation Period

But, how do those on earth that were left behind and became believers after the Rapture, who are striving to survive the severe persecution in the Seven-Year Tribulation Period, hear about these glorious events happening in heaven? Possessing awareness of these heavenly festivities might help them hold their hopes high during the lowest of troubling times on earth.

Although they can’t yet take part, they can take heart in the knowledge about heaven’s rejoicing, but how? The answer is the same way that believers today can discover about these encouraging events in advance, and that’s through God’s Holy Word, the Bible. Hopefully, many believers in the Tribulation Period will become encouraged through reading in their Bibles about what’s taking place in heaven.

More importantly, as they study God’s Word, they will discover that throughout the treacherous Tribulation Period, the Lord will be communicating benedictions, instructions and warnings directly to them. These words of God’s wisdom are intended to equip His believers for the many trials that they will be forced to face. A few examples are listed below.

Note that these following passages are strategically placed in the book of Revelation to align with the events that are taking place on the earth during the Tribulation Period. They are intended to navigate believers through the Seal, Trumpet and Bowl Judgments.

Rev. 7:9 – Encourages persecuted believers that they are not suffering alone in their struggles, but they are part of “a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”

Rev. 11:14 – Speaks directly to believers that somehow survived through the first two woes of the Fifth and Sixth Trumpet Judgments that there is only one more woe to go and that “the third woe is coming quickly.”

Rev. 12:12 – Alerts believers alive at the Midpoint of the Tribulation Period to prepare for the arrival on earth of Satan and his defeated fallen angelic troops. These believers are made aware “for the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” (3 ½ years to be precise according to Rev. 12:6-14).

Rev. 13:9-10 – Commends believers to be patient and warns not to seek revenge for what’s happening to them. They are advised that, “if anyone has an ear, let him hear. He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.”

Rev. 14:12-13 – Reinforces what was said previously above in Rev. 13:9-10. This particular passage has a specific application to those refusing to receive the Mark of the Beast. As a result of their refusal they run the risk of being beheaded by the Antichrist as per Rev. 20:4. These believers are told, “Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.””

Rev. 16:15 – Fast forwarding to the Sixth Bowl Judgment, the believers are instructed to, “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.

The verse above was strategically inserted into the details of the Sixth Bowl Judgment for a specific reason. It seemingly serves as the Lord’s instructions to believers that are still alive on earth when the Antichrist, kings of the earth and their world armies are advancing to Armageddon that:

1) I am coming as a thief – The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is likened to a thief whose arrival is unexpected by the unbelieving masses. Meaning, that He will come quickly and these unsaved souls will not specifically know when He will arrive.

2) Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” – Unlike the unbelievers who will be unaware of Christ’s Coming, the believers in Him should not be caught off guard, but be on the lookout for His return. These saved souls should find comfort in the knowledge that the Second Coming of their Lord and Savior is one final judgment away, (the Seventh Bowl Judgment). Equipped with this knowledge they are encouraged to remain steadfast in their faith lest they behave shamefully.

More than just being watchful, these believers could actually mathematically count down the final days leading up to His return because the prophecies within the Seven-Year Tribulation Period, a.k.a. Daniel’s Seventieth Week, are very time-specific. They could know that from the time the false covenant in Daniel 9:27 gets confirmed, which starts the Tribulation time-clock ticking, that only seven years are left until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Christ returns at the end of the Seven-Year Tribulation Period.

Time increments are provided in several prophecies that compartmentalize the first and second halves of the seven years of tribulation into equal time allotments of three and one-half years each. Some of these timeline prophecies are found in, Daniel 7:25, 12:7 and Revelation 11:2-3, 12:6, 14, 13:5.

These above verses use terms like “forty-two months,” “twelve hundred and sixty days” and “a time and times and half a time,” which can be interpreted as; (time = one year, times = two years and half a time = half a year). In all instances these time calculations clearly indicate that the Seven-Year Tribulation Period is split into a first and second half of three and one-half years each.

Conclusion

In conclusion, if you are a believer alive at the time of the Rapture, none of the above conciliatory and instructive verses in the Words of Wisdom for Believers in the Tribulation Period have a specific application for you, because you won’t be left behind to go through the Seven-Year Tribulation Period. The scriptural evidence is strong that the Rapture is a Pre-Tribulational event. For more information about the Pre-Tribulation Rapture visit pre-trib.org.

On the flip side, if you or someone you love is not a born-again believer in Jesus Christ at the time of the Rapture event, then you or they, will get left behind to experience the treacherous travails of the Tribulation Period. Thus, you will need to first get born again and become a saved believer during the Tribulation Period. Secondly, learn the scriptures contained in this article since they will instruct, encourage and can help you attempt to survive as you go through the Tribulation Period.

The good news that was previously mentioned, is that according to Revelation 7:9-17, many people who get left behind will get saved. However, the bad news is that believers in this period are severely persecuted and are at high risk of being martyred according to Revelation 6:9-11, 17:6, 13:15 and 20:4.

Additionally, according to 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, Satan will be unhindered after the Rapture to perform supernatural signs, and lying wonders throughout the world that will deceive people so that they won’t believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior. Thus, getting saved won’t be the prevailing popular choice at the time.

One massive form of deception the Devil might employ is a global recognition of the reality of UFOs and extraterrestrial life. These imposters would be fallen angels and demons masquerading as higher forms of intelligent life that exists elsewhere in the cosmos. This scenario would deal a huge blow to the biblical narrative, which identifies God as man’s creator and mankind dwelling upon earth as being a unique phenomenon within the universe.

The Bible talks about fallen angels and demons, so this type of charade should not be a surprise to those familiar with the Holy Scriptures, but unfortunately the masses are not aware of the existence of Satan and these, his fallen cohorts. If these beings are seen in an undeniable mass sighting and perpetrate lies such as, “mankind was created by a race of highly evolved extraterrestrials,” then you will know that they are not from another planet but from the pit of hell.

According to Ephesians 2:2, Satan is the prince of the power of the air. What might he do with that power to advance his agenda? What better way to dupe humanity than what was just suggested above. Also, 1 John 5:19 ups the ante by acknowledging the Devil’s present enormous power over the world. “We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.”

How much more will Satan sway the world after the Rapture when he is no longer restrained? Will the Devil use the UFOs and extraterrestrials to explain away the millions of people who will suddenly disappear off of the planet in the future?

It’s also predictable that the Christian religious leaders throughout the world, who are left behind will quote Bible scriptures to justify why they’re still left on the earth. They might quote verses like these below to argue that the wicked religious people, not the righteous believers, were those that had just been taken off the earth.

“The righteous will never be removed, But the wicked will not inhabit the earth.” (Proverbs 10:30)

“Soon the wicked will disappear. Though you look for them, they will be gone. The lowly will possess the land and will live in peace and prosperity.” (Psalm 37:10-11, NLT)

Even today we see the inclination to categorize Bible believing born again Christians as religious fundamentalists. They are often faulted for not embracing current moral and political trends. The headline below is just one example of this developing trend.

“Christian Nationalism Is ‘Single Biggest Threat’ to America’s Religious Freedom.”[i]

It will be easy to be deceived then, but don’t be deceived now about Who Jesus Christ is. Become a believer now, because when Satan is deceiving the world after the Rapture, you run the high risk of falling for his delusional lie! Below are passages that will help you to understand that God loves you and wants to save you through receiving His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

“Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”” (John 3:3)

“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”” (Romans 10:8-11)
