Introduction to Apocalypse Road, Revelation for the Final Generation
Apocalypse Road, Revelation for the Final Generation, is the second volume of an end time’s Bible prophecies book series. The first book was entitled, Revelation Road, Hope Beyond the Horizon. This book series undertakes the difficult task of identifying, explaining and chronologically ordering the prophetic events between now and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Apocalypse Road is a story about a family living in the final generation. Without warning, they are forced to face a series of powerful episodes that are guaranteed to change their lives forever. All Lisa Thompson wanted was to get back on track with her life in Israel after her husband and son vanished with the millions of Christians, but a Middle East war of epic biblical proportion postponed her plans indefinitely.

Now Lisa and her daughter Jami must prepare for the coming apocalypse. They have been thrust into the treacherous Post-Rapture / Pre-Tribulation time-period. This vastly unexplored gap of time follows the Rapture of the Christian Church, but precedes the coming seven-year Tribulational Period. It spans an unspecified length of time that will likely last for several years.

The Rapture is when Christ comes in the clouds to miraculously snatch up His believers, the Church, into heaven. This event is imminent, fulfilled in an instant and guaranteed to catch the world by surprise. This means that the Rapture is about to happen, or may have already happened, by the time you read this book. The primary Rapture verses are in John 14:1-6, 1 Corinthians 15:50-55 and 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18. The Rapture was the tear-dropping conclusion of the Revelation Road book.

MORE THAN A NOVEL – IT’S THREE BOOKS FORMATTED INTO ONE!

Although Apocalypse Road begins as a novel, it concludes with a customized thesis and a non-fiction commentary section. The thesis and “Companion’s Commentary” provides “biblical believability” to the adventurous scenarios depicted inside this novel. Additionally, it adds credence to the characters and their interactions, as well as veracity to the text. This format was chosen to share pertinent, timely information with the broadest possible audience.

This dual approach enables the readers to engage intimately with the novel. They can compose their own scripts inside the story line, as it progresses. This is possible because the characters are easy to relate to, and the prophetic scenarios depicted could occur during the reading of the book.

For instance, one episode describes a massive Middle East invasion of Israel that is spearheaded by a Russian led coalition. Many Israelis and some international tourists inevitably find themselves stranded in the Holy Land because the invasion restricts their ability to flee. About three million tourist travel to Israel each year, which averages out to be approximately eight-thousand on any given day. However, the average length of time a tourist stays in Israel is around eight days, which means when this predicted event happens over sixty-thousand travelers could be trapped in Israel for the duration of this war.

The above scene is more than a mere author creation. The threat of Middle East war is a realistic scenario that residents inside Israel grapple with almost daily. National defense drills are conducted frequently to prepare Israelis for a potential multi-front war. If a would-be traveler gets caught in this crossfire, while reading that chapter, they inescapably would become part of the story, and automatically become cast among the characters.
