Connecting the Mary Apparitions with the Ezekiel 38 Gog of Magog Prophecy
on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 by Bill SalusThis article is taken from an appendix in the new book by Bill Salus entitled, Apocalypse Road, Revelation for the Final Generation.
In 1917, after three years of nations raging against nations in World War 1, the apparition of Mary came to Fatima, Portugal to deliver a message. “Our Lady of Fatima,” as she has ever since been called, spoke of heaven, hell and the sins of man which were being penalized by war. Many Catholics believe that in her message she provided the means to the end of World War 1 through her divine intervention. World War 1 ended about a year later on November 18, 1918.
“Continue to recite the Rosary every day to our Lady of the Rosary to obtain peace in the world and the end of the war, (World War I), because only She, (Our Lady of Fatima), will be able to aid you.”
During that same sequence of messages, the apparition spoke about the nation of Russia.
“I (the apparition) shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia. … If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she shall be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.” (1)
Twelve years later on June 13, 1929, Our Lady of Fatima made a follow up request to visionary Sister Lucy, who at the time was living at Tuy, Spain. This communication provided specific instructions about the manner in which Russia was to be consecrated.
“The moment has come in which God asks the Holy Father to make, and to order that in union with him and at the same time, all the bishops of the world make the consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart.”
“Consecration” is the act of separating something away from its current condition for a sacred use. In this case Russia is to be consecrated. After receiving this message from the apparition, Sister Lucy eventually delivered these instructions below to the Pope.
1. Russia must be specifically mentioned as the object of consecration.
2. The Pope must join with the world bishops in a public ceremony for the consecration.
The consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary alludes to the abandonment of atheism, paganism, heresy or schism and the acceptance of the Catholic Faith and the Church established by Christ. (2)
There is a relatively rigorous debate within Catholic circles as to whether or not Russia has been officially consecrated. The general consensus is no not yet. Then the question arises as to why it hasn’t happened yet? The answer to this question gets complicated due to the staggered timing of the messages and the generally confusing and secretive nature of the predictions concerning Russia. In the end analysis, it appears as though Our Lady at Fatima may have had an ulterior motive looming behind her foretellings of Russia’s future.
CAVEAT: All of the above is a supernatural reality. Most of what is below is spiritual speculation. However, it is provided because it finds potential relevance to the harlot world religion, which is a topic of the Apocalypse Road book.

These Fatima messages singled out Russia as the only nation to ever be called out for consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This sole inclusion of Russia is interesting considering at the time, the British Empire was referred to as the “Empire on which the sun never sets.” Why didn’t the apparition give at least an honorable mention to the UK, USA, France or Italy, who were all Russia’s allies in World War 1?
Is it possible that Our Lady of Fatima, who is not really the “Virgin Mary” of the Bible like the Catholics teach, was concerned about Russia’s future lead role in the Ezekiel 38 prophecy? This ancient prophecy predicts that Russia will be a dominant world warring power in the end times.
Although there is some dispute about the identity of some of the nations in this prophecy, most Bible experts believe that Russia is the lead nation in the Gog of Magog coalition of Ezekiel 38:1-6. It’s safe to suggest that the supernatural entity calling herself Our Lady of Fatima, knows exactly whether or not Russia is identified in these verses. This intelligent being that is masquerading as the apparition of Mary has probably existed before there ever was a land of Magog.
Why would Our Lady of Fatima be concerned about Russia, and why in the same sequence of messages is this Mary imposter seemingly taking credit for ending World War 1? The answer may be hidden in identifying who Our Lady of Fatima really is, and in understanding two of the marquee end times prophecies.
First, the apparition claims to be the benevolent biblical character Mary, the mother of Jesus. It has already been revealed in the Apocalypse Road commentary of the chapter entitled, “The Queen of Heaven Appears Globally,” that is not her true identity. Rather than being the biblical Mary, she or it must be diabolical. Whoever, or whatever, Our Lady of Fatima represents, her boss is the Devil. Thus, it’s Satan who’s concerned about the prophecy of Ezekiel 38. But why?
One of the two marquee prophecies concerning Satan must be Ezekiel 38, but why is the Devil so concerned about this prediction? The answer is understandably found in Ezekiel 39:7, which points out the overall purpose of the prophecy is the glorification of the Holy name of God.
“So I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not let them profane My holy name anymore. Then the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.” (Ezekiel 39:7)
This is the prophecy, which according to Ezekiel 38:8, 16 occurs in the “latter days,” that God uses to inform the world that He is the only God, i.e., the one true God of the Bible. The Lord accomplishes this by supernaturally defeating the Russian led coalition in the manner described in Ezekiel 38:18-39:6.
This supernatural divine defeat appears to be accomplished at a time when Satan is attempting to perpetrate a campaign of strong deception in another latter days marquee prophecy found in 2 Thessalonians. Below is the second prediction that must be of particular interest to Satan.
“The coming of the lawless one (Antichrist) is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception (including possible future Marian apparitions) among those who perish, (left behind after the Rapture) because they did not receive (Jesus Christ) the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonian 2:9-12; emphasis added)
Since these are the latter days and neither of these marquee prophecies have happened as of yet, then should they happen about the same time, that complicates matters for Satan’s spread of “the lie” alluded to above. Satan will be attempting to deceive mankind into thinking that the God of the Bible is not the one true God, but the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 will prove otherwise.
Therefore, Satan has likely communicated the Fatima messages of 1917 in order to confuse the Lord’s obvious future message to the masses that the supernatural defeat of the Russian coalition was orchestrated entirely by the God of the Bible. Instead, since Our Lady of Fatima took credit for ending World War 1, then certainly she is qualified to end Russia’s ability to “spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars,” like Ezekiel 38, which she forewarned about at Fatima over a century prior.
Below is a quote from the article entitled, “Pope Benedict XV Demands World Peace,” (May 5, 1917), that documents the historical time-period involving the Lady of Fatima and World War I.
“In 1917 the First World War was raging, without showing any sure sign of concluding peacefully. By this time the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XV, who had been in the diplomatic service of the Vatican, had exhausted all of the natural means in his power to bring about peace, but to no avail. Realizing the limited power of even Papal diplomacy, the tired and frail Pope turned to the Blessed Mother of God, through Whom all graces are dispensed. He urgently requested all Christians to beg the Virgin Mary to obtain peace in the world, and to solemnly entrust the task to Her alone. The Pope wrote of his plea for peace in a letter dated May 5, 1917… The Blessed Mother responded quickly to this agonizing plea of the Pope and the Christian people. Only eight days later, at Fatima, the Virgin Mary came in response to the cries raised to Her from a warring world. She came to demonstrate Her maternal care for us, and that, as Mediatrix of all Graces, She alone can show us the way to peace.” (3)
This quote points out that the Lady of Fatima appeared at the precise time when the Pope and Catholics around the world were desperately petitioning the Blessed Mother to intervene and bring peace during World War I. Does it seem reasonable to believe that a similar thing could take place during the war of Gog of Magog in the future? Might Catholics tragically give the glory to the Lady of Fatima for the supernatural defeat of the Magog invaders of Ezekiel 38? The following quote about the future from John Paul II, who was very devoted to “Our Lady of Fatima,” adds further credence to this possibility.
“In his book, Crossing the Threshold of Hope, the Pope made a prophetic statement that the Church’s future victories will come through Mary, stating:… On this universal level, if victory comes it will be brought by Mary. Christ will conquer through her, because He wants the Church’s victories now and in the future to be linked to her.” (4)
Another episode in history worth mentioning along these lines took place on October 7, 1571, at the Battle of Lepanto. Below are quotes about this epic event, whereby the Blessed Mother intervened to defeat the Muslim Turkish Navy.
“No discussion of the history of the Rosary would be complete without a description of the epic and historic Battle of Lepanto. While engaged in a protracted war with the Muslim Turks over the control of Eastern Europe and in particular the Mediterranean, Pope Pius V organized a fleet of ships to engage the Muslim Turkish navy. Pope Pius V implored all the faithful to fervently pray the Rosary and ask our Blessed Mother to intercede on behalf of the Christians. Despite being hopelessly outnumbered in quantity of ships and fighting men, the Muslim Turks were defeated at the Battle of Lepanto on October 7, 1571…Pope Pius V declared this day to be the Feast of the Holy Rosary and asked all to give thanks to “Our Lady of Victory” for her timely intercession in answer to the faithful’s praying of the Rosary.” (5)
Catholic historian, Professor Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira, adds the following description of what took place at the Battle of Lepanto.
“Descriptions of the Battle of Lepanto based on the Catholic chronicles of the time do not mention an important fact found in the Muslim sources. The latter report that at a certain moment during the battle when the Catholic forces were being defeated, the Turkish fleet saw a majestic and terrible Lady in the sky. She was looking at them with such a menacing gaze that they could not bear it, lost their courage, and fled.” (6)
For almost 2000 years, Satan foreknew that a time would come when he would be unrestrained to perpetrate strong delusion in the world. That time appears to be drawing near. However, for almost 2600 years, he has also known that the Lord predicted to destroy the Magog invaders supernaturally. In order to mitigate against the Lord getting due credit for stopping the Magog coalition, Satan may think that he has found a possible way, through Our lying Lady of Fatima, to usurp God’s prophetic word.
If Our Lady of Fatima appears again, just once, with supernatural signs and wonders before, during or in the immediate aftermath of the divine defeat of Russia, then it’s highly likely that Catholics worldwide will believe that she intervened again in another major war. She could get the credit, rather than the God of the Bible.
But, what about the UK and the USA? Why didn’t Our Lady of Fatima allude to them? After all, at the time of the Fatima messages the UK was the world’s dominant empire and now America is. Perhaps, it’s because Satan realized that in the Ezekiel 38 prophecy, they are no longer pictured in superpower statuses.
The UK and the USA appear to be identified in Ezekiel 38:13 as protestors of the Russian invasion of Israel. Ezekiel 38 portrays Russia as powerful, but the UK and USA as powerless.
