Flashback – Bill Salus predicted Muslim Brotherhood’s Rise to Poweron Tuesday, August 21, 2012 by Bill Salus
On January 28, 2011, just two weeks before former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak resigned from office, Bill Salus predicted that Mubarak would be deposed and that the Muslim Brotherhood would rise to power in a possible fulfillment of an ancient Bible prophecy. Seventeen months later both of these predictions have come true. So what’s next?
After over 30 years of political repression the Muslim Brotherhood has risen to power in Egypt and their new president, Mohammed Morsi, is firing key longstanding military leaders, meeting with Israel’s enemies, and moving troops, tanks, and other major military equipment into the Sinai. Under the auspices of maintaining security in the Sinai, the Muslim Brotherhood is stretching out its tentacles into this strategic area just south of Israel in violation of Egypt’s 1979 peace treaty with Israel.
Presently the Jewish state is pre-occupied with greater concerns, like Iran’s nuclear program and Syria’s weapons of mass destruction, and this appears to be enabling the Muslim Brotherhood to get away with murder in the Middle East. Murder may seem like to harsh a word, but rumor has it the Muslim Brotherhood is presently crucifying Christians in Egypt.
In one of Bill’s most widely read articles called “I Will Set Egyptians Against Egyptians,” Bill made the possible connection between what Christ said in Matthew 24:7, and Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah 19:2, “I will set Egyptians against Egyptians; Everyone will fight against his brother, And everyone against his neighbor, City against city, kingdom against kingdom.”
At the time of these Egytian predictions the emphasis was placed upon Egyptians against Egyptians, but presently I, Bill Salus, believe the emphasis is shifting toward “kingdom against kingdom.” It appears the new Egypt is about to engage in a regional conflict of epic biblical proportion. I believe that Isaiah 19:1-18 is stage – setting for final fulfillment in this generation.
I invite you to review some of my prior writings about Egypt in Bible prophecy that are linked below to see if you agree with me. These articles have been transcribed into appendices inside my book called Revelation Road, Hope Beyond the Horizon. But, Revelation Road includes many more prophecies for our time than just those concerning Egypt.
